Our projects

Cambridge Power has a growing pipeline of battery energy storage and renewable generation projects across the UK, in excess of 2.5GW. We anticipate the first of these to be ready to enter construction for the second quarter of 2022.

The duration of the BESS on each site will be assessed and advised by the Optimiser and will be based upon the forecasted market demand for the grid services required by the National Grid (NG) or District Network Operator (DNO) in that specific location. Sites will of course in certain cases be constrained on the maximum duration due to space or other environmental factors, but it is envisaged that in due course, the majority of UK BESS projects will be constructed to provide a 2 hour duration to best assist the NG network in its journey to Net Zero.
