Cambridge Power has acquired a site in Glasgow, Scotland from Savills, that has rights to a 29MW battery energy storage project. They have agreed terms for a 40-year lease period and the project has already secured a grid connection with SPEN.
This week full planning permission was secured through a Non Material Amendment granted by South Lanarkshire Council enabling the project to progress towards a construction start date later this year through the Joint Venture recently announced with Brookfield Renewable.
